Sea Machines to help develop first US-flagged autonomous hybrid cargo vessel

Connecticut-based First Harvest Navigation, a marine transportation company that connects family farms to urban and suburban neighbourhoods, has selected Sea Machines Robotics to install its proprietary autonomous command and remote-helm control system on the hybrid-powered cargo vessel Captain Ben Moore.

Once the installation work is complete, the 19-metre catamaran will be the first autonomous hybrid cargo vessel in operation in the United States.

The installation work on Captain Ben Moore will commence in November.
