Swedish ferry operator Gotlandsbolaget reported second-quarter revenue of SEK1.003 billion ($105.4 million), up from SEK961.1 million in the same period of 2025, following higher income from FuelEU maritime performance pooling.
Operating costs increased to SEK1.018 billion, driven by higher depreciation at Go Nordic Cruiseline and maritime credit accounting.
Adjusted operating profit was largely unchanged at SEK17.2 million compared with SEK17.7 million a year earlier, while net profit after tax reached SEK23.5 million.
Chief Executive Officer Björn Nilsson said unstable weather and lower passenger traffic in June contributed to a 1.4 per cent decline in Destination Gotland passenger volumes during the summer peak.
Go Nordic Cruiseline recorded 169,358 guests during the peak period, down 4.8 per cent year-on-year, as the business prepares for leadership changes in the autumn.
The group also completed the acquisition of a 30 per cent stake in Nordic Ferry Infrastructure through NP HoldCo in July after receiving regulatory clearance.
Gotlandsbolaget plans to install a hanging deck on the Ro-Pax ferry Visby to increase vehicle capacity by approximately 20 per cent. The first central section of its newbuild catamaran Gotland Horizon X was also lifted into place during the quarter.
The company secured a loan facility of up to SEK1.2 billion and began evaluating the requirements for moving its public listing to the Nasdaq Stockholm main list.
