InfraVia completes acquisition of majority stake in Louis Dreyfus Armateurs

The Louis-Dreyfus family, shareholder of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA), and InfraVia Capital Partners, has confirmed the completion of a strategic transaction in which InfraVia, through its InfraVia European Fund VI, has acquired an 80 per cent majority stake in LDA.

The Louis-Dreyfus family retains a 20 per cent share, with Edouard Louis-Dreyfus remaining as President of the group.

Louis Dreyfus Armateurs will soon be renamed LD Armateurs. With InfraVia support, LD Armateurs plans to invest €1 billion (US$1.2 billion) over the coming years.

InfraVia said this investment will enable the group to more than double its fleet and accelerate its growth in technological innovation, energy transition, and the development of next-generation maritime services and navigation modes.

Effective July 1, Samira Draoua assumes the role of Chief Executive Officer of LD Armateurs. She previously served as CEO of Econocom France and President of Les Abeilles International.

Earlier this year, LDA said that, with extensive experience supporting companies across various infrastructure sectors, InfraVia has the necessary expertise to accelerate the group’s digitalisation and energy transition.
