Norwegian shipbuilder Larsnes Mek Verksted has awarded Hydroniq Coolers a contract to supply the marine cooling system for a wellboat being constructed for fish transport company Naviera Orca Chile.

The Skipskompetanse-designed wellboat will have a length of 79.3 metres, a beam of 15 metres, and a total storage capacity of 2,800 cubic metres. It will also be equipped for treatment of live fish.

Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2021.

Hydroniq will supply its hull-integrated seawater cooling system for installation on the wellboat. It will be used to cool the vessel’s engines and other auxiliary systems.
