A Turkish shipyard has delivered a new seiner/trawler ordered by Norwegian fishing company Hardhaus.

The DNV-classed newbuild, which has also been named Hardhaus, measures 74.5 by 16 metres is powered by a battery hybrid propulsion system. The vessel may operate on either diesel-mechanic or diesel-electric mode.

The onboard equipment includes electrically-driven winches and a heat recovery system in line with the owner’s goal of achieving low-emission operations.

The vessel was designed by Salt Ship Design.
