Spanish yard launches new shrimp trawler for Nueva Pescanova

Armon Shipyard in Spain recently floated out a new beam trawler slated for Nueva Pescanova Group’s operations in Namibia and Mozambique.

Named Ponta Timbué after a geographical point on the Mozambican coast, the 32-metre vessel will be used to trawl for shrimps for Nueva Pescanova subsidiary Pescamar.

Once completed, Ponta Timbué will have onboard accommodations for 22 people as well as efficient, low-emission engines.
