Italian shipping group Fratelli Cosulich has taken delivery of a new methanol-ready bunker tanker from Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding in China.
The 8,585DWT IMO II tanker Carlotta Cosulich is the third of four sister vessels built as part of Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy's programme to expand its fleet. Anna Cosulich and Lucia Cosulich were delivered earlier this year.
The vessel is undergoing final preparations before entering service in the port and anchorage of Singapore.
The vessel has methanol-compatible cargo tank coating, single point mooring (SPM) capability and a five-tonne cargo crane.
The tanker's keel was laid on February 4, and she was launched on August 17.
Earlier this month, Fratelli Cosulich sold Anna Cosulich to SPC Shipping, which is wholly owned by PetroChina International Singapore. The agreement was signed on October 14 in Singapore, and two days later, the vessel was renamed Vanda Pioneer at Jurong Port Universal Terminal.
PetroChina International Singapore is one of three suppliers licensed by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) to deliver methanol as marine fuel in the port from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2030.
