A contract covering three crew transfer vessels (CTV) has been signed by UK shipbuilder Diverse Marine and OEG Marine Services; the vessels are due for delivery during 2027
The vessels will be built at Diverse Marine's facility in Cowes on the Isle of Wight to a Chartwell Marine design. Each will be 26 metres in overall length, while its load line length will be under 24 metres. All three will be classed by Bureau Veritas and will sail under the UK flag.
The first vessel will have quad Volvo Penta IPS propulsion that meets IMO Tier III emissions standards, together with Hull Vane transom foils. Diverse Marine said the combination was selected to optimise fuel efficiency at cruising speeds.
The order forms part of OEG's fleet renewal and expansion programme. It follows OEG Fulmar, a Chartwell CTV that Diverse Marine built for OEG. The operator added the vessel to its fleet in March.
OEG owns and operates 15 multi-purpose offshore CTVs across the UK, Europe and Taiwan. The company sold two older vessels in 2025 and has earmarked further disposals for 2026.
