Norwegian company Ulstein has revealed the S182 design, a dynamically positioned (DP) multipurpose construction vessel suitable for shallow water operations.

The 10,000DWT vessel offers a platform capable of supporting various operations including cable laying, offshore construction, salvage works, dive support and rock installation.

The vessel measures 115.4 metres in length overall, with a beam of 30.8 metres and an operational draught of 5.0 metres. The vessel features an open work deck that is able to accommodate a 30 metre carousel, large cargo hold below deck. The side of the vessel can accommodate a main offshore crane of 400 tonnes.

The vessel can operate autonomously in remote shallow waters and offshore areas due to the mooring and DP2 capability.
