The year 2009 was a very good one for tugs worldwide. The much feared and very damaging Global Financial Crisis seemed to barely slow the tide of new deliveries. It only slightly staunched the flood of new orders.
Featuring 35 new tugs – some of which are really OSVs – the review provides a useful overview of the global tug industry. It shows tugs large and small, inland and ocean going and everything in between.
The individual reviews of each tug are brief but useful. They are enhanced by brief specification listings. In most cases the reviews are accompanied by good clear general arrangement drawings.
