OOS’ newest SSCV undocked at CMHI Jiangsu

China Merchants Heavy Industry Jiangsu shipyard undocked OOS Serooskerke, OOS International’s newest semi-submersible crane vessel (SSCV), on the afternoon of Thursday, September 27.

The undocking operation began at 01:00 (local time). By 14:00, OOS Serooskerke was finally afloat with one-metre clearance from the dock floor and finally undocked at high tide at 17:00.

The Marshall Islands-registered SSCV has accommodation for 750 as well as two Huisman cranes with a total tandem lift capacity of 4,400 tonnes.

It is expected to operate in the Gulf of Mexico as well as the waters of South East Asia, the North Sea, the African West Coast, Australia, and Brazil.
