German waterways administration awards tug service tenders to Fairplay Towage subsidiary
The German Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration has awarded ARGE Küstenschutz, a local company under the Fairplay Towage Group, three tenders for the provision of towage services in the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Elbe River.
Beginning in July 2022, the tugs Nordic (pictured) and Baltic will be deployed to serve the extensions to existing towage contracts covering the German Bight and the Baltic Sea, respectively.
Meanwhile, the towage tender for the Elbe River is a new contract awarded to ARGE Küstenschutz. This contract commenced earlier this month and is being served by the tug Fairplay-35.
