Nibulon launches fourth Project 121M tug

NAVAL ARCHITECTURE WEEK

Ukraine’s Nibulon Shipbuilding and Repair Yard launched a new tug into the water on Friday, November 20.

Named Nibulon-15, the tug is the fourth to be built under the Project 121M series. It will have a length of 29.6 metres, a beam of 11 metres, and a draught of 1.45 metres.

Although designed for both river and open sea sailing, the tug will be used primarily to tow grain barges along the stretch of the Bug River that passes through Ukraine.
