Uzmar wins order for two 32-metre emergency response tugs

Uzmar Shipyard has been awarded a contract to build two emergency response and escort tugs in a series for use by the Turkish Directorate General of Coastal Safety (Kıyı Emniyeti Genel Müdürlüğü; KEGM).

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed vessels will each have a length of 32 metres and a bollard pull of 80 tonnes.

The tugs will be used for duties including escort, towing, search and rescue (SAR), and firefighting.
