Turkish yard launches multi-purpose tug Paraggi

Turkish tug builder Bogazici has launched the multi-purpose escort tug Paraggi at Tuzla Istanbul.

Contracted for operations with Finarge Armamento Genovese upon delivery, Paraggi is expected to be delivered in May.

Designed by Cintranaval Ship Design, the 32.5-metre by 11.7-metre vessel has a 70-tonne bollard pull.

Powered by two Caterpillar 2,100kW main engines and two 150kW generator sets, Paraggi has an operating speed of 13 knots.

Designated as a firefighting ship, salvage tug and oil recovery ship, Paraggi has accommodation for 10 crew.
