Turkey’s Uzmar Shipyard has been awarded a contract to build four new ASD terminal/escort tugs in a series for Pakistan operator Karachi Port Trust.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed vessels will each have a length of 32 metres and two Caterpillar 3516C 2,350kW main engines that will deliver a speed of 13 knots and a bollard pull of 75 tonnes.

The first two tugs are scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2020 while the remaining pair will follow in the second quarter of 2021.
