Svitzer Australia and Mid West Ports Authority (MWPA) recently took delivery of a new tug for operation out of the Port of Geraldton in Western Australia.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed vessel has been named Svitzer Wilu after the Aboriginal word for “sea.” It is 30 metres in length and boasts a bollard pull of 70 tonnes as well as firefighting capability.

Svitzer Wilu is the third new tug to be handed over to the Port of Geraldton this year after sister vessels Svitzer North and Svitzer Abrolhos.
