Svitzer to commence operations in Emden, Germany
Svitzer Europe will start a new towage operation in Emden, Germany’s third-largest North Sea port, from January 1, 2021.
Svitzer will deploy Svitzer Valand (pictured), a tractor tug with 45 tonnes bollard pull and part of the organisation’s existing European fleet, and the newly purchased Svitzer Vestri, an ASD tug with 60 tonnes bollard pull.
Svitzer Vestri will be delivered by Turkey’s Med Marine before the end of October 2020.
