Sanmar tug delivered to German operator

Sanmar Shipyards has delivered a new harbour tug to German towage operator Hans Schramm and Sohn Schleppschifffahrt.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed 25- by 12-metre tug will sail under the name Sönke. Two Caterpillar engines connected to a pair of Kongsberg Maritime fixed-pitch propellers deliver a bollard pull of 70 tonnes.

Sönke is the fifth Sanmar tug to be built for the same customer.
