Port of Antwerp orders hydrogen-powered tug from CMB

The Port of Antwerp has placed an order for a newbuild tug to be driven by combustion engines that burn hydrogen in combination with diesel.

Construction is due to begin shortly and the tug is expected to be operational within two years.

The vessel will be built by local shipyard Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB).
