The Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJAM) has placed an order for a new utility vessel to be built by Damen Shipyards Group.

The 39.4- by 10.8-metre workboat will be used for buoy laying and maintenance support operations. It will have a crew of 12, an A-frame-mounted crane with five-tonne lifting capacity, and a deck area of 200 square metres.

Delivery is expected in the second quarter of 2021 following outfitting at Damen Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam in the Netherlands.
