New escort tug delivered to Bay-Houston Towing

Bay Houston Towing Company of Galveston, Texas, recently took delivery of a new escort tug from Gulf Island Shipyards of Louisiana.

George M is the final one in a series of five built by Gulf Island to a Robert Allan Ltd (RAL) design.

The tug measures 30 by 13 metres and is powered by two Caterpillar 3516 2,500kW engines that deliver a bollard pull of 80 tonnes.
