Med Marine tug sold to Saam Guatemala

Turkey's Med Marine has signed a contract with Saam Guatemala for the sale of a tug for the latter's Puerto Quetzal operations.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed vessel will be named Saam Itza and will be delivered to its new owners in June 2019.

The tug has a length of 23 metres, a beam of 10.9 metres, and a depth of 4.4 metres. Twin Caterpillar 3512 1,765kW engines deliver a speed of 12 knots and a bollard pull of 60 tonnes.
