Med Marine secures Italian tug order
Turkey’s Med Marine has signed a newbuilding contract with SERS SRL, a company belonging to Italian tug operator Rimorchiatori Riuniti Group.
The vessel to be built is a tug designed by Robert Allan Ltd. It will have an LOA of 25.2 metres, a width of 12 metres, and a depth of 4.6 metres.
Two MTU 16V4000M63L engines will develop a total output of 2,100 kW at 1,800 rpm to deliver a free sailing speed of 12 knots and a bollard pull of 70 tonnes.
Delivery is scheduled for December 2019.
