Jiangsu Zhenjiang delivers ASD tug to Taizhou operator

China’s Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard delivered a new ASD tug to local operator Taizhou Gangsheng Shipping on Wednesday, June 24.

Tai Gang 3 has a length of 36.5 metres, a beam of 10.2 metres, and total installed power of 3,236 kW giving it a bollard pull of 56 tonnes and a speed of 13.6 knots. The newbuild also has a secondary firefighting capability.

The tug will be based at the Port of Taizhou and will serve clients along the stretch of the Yangtze River that passes through Zhejiang province.
