France’s TSM gets new Damen tug

NAVAL ARCHITECTURE WEEK

French marine contractor Thomas Services Maritimes (TSM) took delivery of a new ASD tug from Damen Shipyards Group on Sunday, September 20.

Built at Albwardy Damen in the UAE, the tug has been named TSM Houat after the island of the same name in the department of Morbihan, Brittany.

The tug has an LOA of 28.67 metres, a beam of 10.43 metres, and a bollard pull of 60 tonnes. It will be homeported in Sète in the Hérault department on France’s Mediterranean coast.
