Eastern Shipbuilding launches fourth tug for McAllister Towing

Eastern Shipbuilding has launched the final one of four escort/rescue tugs in a series ordered by McAllister Towing and Transportation Company of New York.

Designed by Jensen Maritime Consultants, Capt. Jim McAllister is currently undergoing construction and is scheduled for delivery within this year.

The completed tug will have a length of 30.48 metres, a width of 12.19 metres, and two Caterpillar 3516E 2,524kW diesel engines.
