Damen launches fully electric tug for Ports of Auckland

Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Vietnam launched a new reversed stern drive (RSD) tug into the water on Friday, December 4.

The 25-metre, 70-tonne bollard pull vessel will have all-electric propulsion and will be the second Damen tug to be built for Ports of Auckland in New Zealand.

Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2021.
