Boluda France takes delivery of final two of six 30-metre tugs from Piriou

Boluda Corporacion Maritima subsidiary Boluda France took delivery of two new steel-hulled ASD tugs from Piriou on Friday, April 24.

VB Longchamp and VB Guardian (pictured) re the final two in a series of six ordered by Boluda in 2018. Each has an LOA of 30.3 metres, a moulded beam of 10.4 metres, a maximum draught of 5.3 metres, a bollard pull of 75 tonnes, and a speed of 13 knots.

The tugs will operate out of the Port of Le Havre and will be used for towing, harbour assistance, and deep sea operations support.

As with the four earlier tugs in the series, VB Longchamp and VB Guardian were built at Piriou’s Vietnam shipyard.
