Alfons Håkans orders escort tug pair from Sanmar
Finnish towage provider Alfons Håkans has signed a contract for two ice-class 67-tonne bollard pull ASD tugs in a series with Sanmar Shipyards of Turkey.
The Robert Allan Ltd-designed vessels will be the first icebreaking escort tugs to be built for a private operator in Finland.
Each tug will have an LOA of 31.5 metres, a moulded width of 12 metres, an operational draught of 5.6 metres, and two 2,000kW engines delivering a speed of 13 knots.
