Bugsier receives first Daman tug

German towage and maritime service provider Bugsier has expanded its fleet with the addition of a Damen ASD 2411 tug.

The 'Bugsier 22' was built at Damen Shipyards Sharjah (DSSh) in the United Arab Emirates.

The ASD 2411 is a 24-metre long vessel providing a bollard pull of 70 tonnes. Its overall breadth measures 11.13 metres and it has a draught of 5.35 metres. The 2411 can reach 12.7 knots ahead and 12.2 knots astern.

Bugsier, which celebrated its 150-year anniversary this year, operates towage services in ports around Germany including the ports of Hamburg, Bremen and Rostock. It has a fleet of 28 German-flagged tugs.
