Foss Maritime subsidiary Cook Inlet Tug and Barge (CITB) has started supporting the operations of clients in Alaska’s North Slope region using three of the newest additions to its fleet.

The shallow-draught tugs Sag Wind (pictured), Kuparuk Wind, and Kavik Wind have begun operating out of Prudhoe Bay to work for clients in North Slope’s oil, gas, and construction sectors. These operations are the first for the three tugs following their acquisition by Foss from Crowley Maritime Corporation earlier this year.

CITB is expected to operate the vessels in North Slope up until the fourth quarter of 2019 prior to the onset of winter and the ensuing ice coverage in the region’s waterways.
