Piriou to build fifth and sixth 30m tugs for Boluda France

Boluda France, a subsidiary of towage company Boluda Corporacion Maritima, has ordered two new tugs in a series from Piriou Shipyard with delivery scheduled for May 2020.

These will comprise the fifth and sixth tugs following a firm order for two units scheduled for delivery in June 2019. The third and fourth units of the order will be delivered to Boluda France by the end of 2019.

Each tug will have an LOA of 30.3 metres, a moulded width of 10.4 metres, a maximum draught of 5.3 metres, a bollard pull of 77 tonnes, and a crew of six. Twin 2,240kW engines will deliver speeds of up to 13 knots.
