Gulf Island delivers first unit of 10-tug order by Bay Houston Towing

Gulf Island Shipyards of Louisiana has delivered a new terminal/escort tug to Bay Houston Towing Company of Galveston, Texas.

Mark E. Kuebler is the first of 10 Robert Allan Ltd-designed tugs ordered by Bay Houston Towing from Gulf Island.

It has a length of 30 metres, a width of 13 metres, a bollard pull of 80 tonnes, and twin Caterpillar 3516 Tier 4 diesel engines, each developing 2,500 kW at 1,800 rpm.
