A dual-fuel ASD tug being built by Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard was launched on the morning of Tuesday, December 25.
The tug, which is being built for Ningbo Zhoushan Port, is the first dual-fuel 4,847kW ASD tug built by Jiangsu Zhenjiang.
The tug will be able to run on either fuel oil or LNG. The company claims that, when operating in LNG mode, the tug will be able to achieve emissions of up to 50 per cent for sulphur oxide, up to 98 per cent for particle matter, up to 80 per cent for nitrous oxide, and up to 22 per cent for carbon dioxide.
