Conrad Shipyard delivers ocean-going tug to Foss Maritime
Foss Maritime has recently taken delivery of an ocean-going tug from Louisiana-based Conrad Shipyard.
Kāpena Jack Young, the first in a series of four, was designed by Damen USA.
The 4,500kW, 37.5-metre by 11-metre vessel is powered by General Electric 8L250MDC EPA Tier IV emissions compliant exhaust gas re-circulation engines.
The vessel and its sister ships will enter service for Young Brothers, a subsidiary of Foss Maritime.
