HEBO adds 900-tonne sheerleg crane to its fleet

HEBO Maritiemservice will add a versatile floating sheerleg vessel to its fleet in mid-January.

CEO Wiebbe Bonsink said the sheerleg, which will be active in the Baltic Sea, North Sea and at Rotterdam, was being acquired from DBB Salvage.

“This sheerleg has a maximum lifting capacity of 900 tonnes and it also has an impressive lifting capacity at longer reaches,” he said.

“At a reach of 22.5 metres, it can lift up to 800 tonnes and it can still lift 500 tonnes at a reach of 46 metres.”

The self-propelled sheerleg also has a 100-tonne auxiliary hoist with a maximum lifting height of 74 metres and a maximum reach of more than 60 metres.

The sheerleg is also equipped with a dynamic positioning system.
