From Baird Maritime:
We do not normally review non-marine business biographies or self-help books here. However, this very large and heavy gem crossed your reviewer's desk at a particularly opportune time.
In fact it landed during the thick of America's 700 billion dollar bail out of Wall Street and that grand gesture's largely impotent response. A fascinating time indeed.
That made the content of the book all the more timely, appropriate and valuable. For all its 950 close typed pages, the book delivers a handful of simple almost homespun messages.
Its advice is simple, practical and very easy to follow. It is just a pity that the titans of Wall Street failed to observe it.
Essentially, it says to keep your investments simple. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you don't understand it, don't touch it.
A valuable book, whether you are interested in investing or not because, in the end, you are on your own. This is a classic.
