This little book is published annually and on a shoestring by the Shiplovers' Society of Victoria.
A delightful compendium of maritime history and shipping anecdotes that has been produced as very much a labour of love it is, nevertheless, very professionally presented.
It is also very valuable as it incorporates numerous yarns that would be unlikely to be published elsewhere. Most of the essays are very personal so are "straight from the horse's mouth". The others, not in the first person, are nevertheless well researched and well illustrated.
Your reviewer has read at least 35 Dog Watches. They have been universally good. They are informative and great fun to read.
