Seatronics bags ROV orders worth £1.8 million

Seatronics, the unmanned systems subsidiary of UK-based Acteon Group, has received orders totalling £1.8 million (US$2.45 million) from various undisclosed clients for multiple examples of its VALOR remotely operated vehicle (ROV).

The ROVs will each measure 0.86 by 0.6 metres and will be capable of carrying a payload of up to 18 kilograms.

The vehicles are rated for operation at 300 metres water depth but may be configured to be capable of operations at 1,000 metres below the surface.
