Saab Seaeye hybrid AUV/ROV delivered to Hibbard Inshore

Saab Seaeye has delivered a new underwater robotic vehicle to US-based Hibbard Inshore.

The multi-hulled vessel is a hybrid vehicle that may function either autonomously or via remote operation. It will be used for tunnel inspection duties.

A single-hulled variant from the same robotic vehicle series had been delivered earlier to Hibbard. It has already completed tunnel inspection projects involving distances as far as 12 kilometres from a single access point.

The newer multi-hulled hybrid AUV/ROV is designed to be able to operate out to 20 kilometres.
