New Russian Project 02670 research vessel floated out

United Shipbuilding Corporation’s (USC) Yantar Baltic Shipbuilding Plant launched the Project 02670 oceanographic research vessel Yevgeniy Gorigledzhan on Friday, December 25.

The vessel honours the late Yevgeniy Alekseevich Gorigledzhan, a naval architect known for his work in designing some of Russia’s nuclear-powered submarines.

Once completed, Yevgeniy Gorigledzhan will have a length of 81 metres, a beam of 16 metres, a displacement of approximately 4,000 tonnes, space for 32 crew and 25 researchers, and an endurance of 30 days.
