Future research vessel for Abu Dhabi owner launched in Spain

Spain’s Freire Shipyard has launched a new oceanographic research vessel ordered by Environment Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD).

This vessel is designed to carry out advanced research work in both deep and shallow waters. It will have accommodations for 18 crewmembers and 11 scientists as well as facilities including multiple laboratories and a diving team preparation room.

The propulsion system will ensure silent operation and reduced emissions when navigating a low speeds.
