Seaspan Shipyards launches second OFSV for Canadian Coast Guard

Seaspan Shipyards has launched the second Offshore Fisheries Science Vessel (OFSV) that the company is building for the Canadian Coast Guard.

The 63-metre vessel will be equipped with fishing trawls, laboratories, and a sensor-equipped drop keel.

The OFSV will serve as a platform for Fisheries and Oceans Canada scientists to monitor the health of fish stocks and to conduct oceans research.
