Niestern Sander to build survey vessel for Geo Plus

Royal Niestern Sander and Geo Plus have signed a contract for the construction of a DP2 hydrographic survey vessel to be designed in cooperation with Conoship International.

The LR-classed vessel will be named Geo Ranger and will be delivered in the spring of 2020. It will be rented out to parties conducting research such as dredging companies and companies that build and maintain offshore wind farms.

Geo Ranger will have a length of 41 metres, a beam of 8.7 metres, a depth of 4.25 metres, accommodation for 21 people, and diesel electric propulsion.
