Progressive Insurance donates rescue boat to DeFuniak Springs firefighters

Progressive Insurance has donated a small rescue boat to the Liberty Fire District in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

The boat will be used to provide search and rescue (SAR) assistance not only in DeFuniak Springs but also in other areas of the Florida Panhandle.

Equipment such as medical bags, search lights, and spinal boards will be purchased in the coming weeks to be carried on the boat by the time it enters service in the spring, the Liberty Fire District said in a press release.
