Owasco Fire Department to get new rescue boat

The Owasco Fire Department of Auburn, New York, has placed an order for a new fire/rescue boat from Lake Assault Boats.

The eight-metre aluminium vessel will replace the department’s current fire boat, a 1991 Boston Whaler (pictured).

The new vessel will have a firefighting pump with a capacity of 4,700 litres per minute as well as a forward looking infra-red (FLIR) camera.

Delivery is expected in March 2020.
