Onezhsky launches hybrid multi-purpose workboat for Rosmorport

Russia’s Onezhsky Shipbuilding has launched a new Project ST23WIM-H multi-purpose workboat ordered by local company Rosmorport.

The ice-class vessel, which has been named Anatoliy Klimov, will be operated by Rosmorport out of the Port of Vanino in Russia’s Far East.

The workboat will have a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system and will be equipped for various roles including pilotage, search and rescue (SAR), pollution monitoring, crew transfer, and ship escort. It will be capable of operating in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius.

Once completed, Anatoliy Klimov will have an LOA of 25.7 metres, a beam of 6.8 metres, a design draught of 1.8 metres, a speed of 12 knots, and accommodations for two crew and up to 10 passengers.
