Egyptian ambulance boat procurement gets government approval

The Egyptian government has given its approval for the country’s Ambulance Authority to acquire a new fleet of six ambulance boats.

Officials said the vessels will be fitted with infection control equipment besides the standard medical equipment typically found on modern ambulance boats.

The new boats will be operated out of four proposed marine ambulance centres. Two of the centres will be built near Hurghada on Egypt’s Red Sea coast and the remaining two will be built in Marsa Alam in South Sinai.
