UAE builder Ribcraft Middle East has introduced a new series of rigid inflatable boat (RIB) equipped with hybrid propulsion.

Each boat in the series will have an LOA of nine metres, a beam of three metres, and a fully enclosed wheelhouse. The propulsion arrangement will include two Volvo Penta D4-270A diesel inboards and a Transfluid HM650 hybrid module with self-charging batteries.

The RIBs can reach a maximum speed of 42 knots. When operating in fully electric mode for reduced noise and emissions, the boats can sail at six knots.
